Clean data is not admin. It is the whole answer.
Roles, schema and tagging decide whether every report downstream is right. Kissmetrics does most of it for you, and shows you the rest.
Every event you fire, and the role it plays
The schema is the list of what you actually track, ranked by volume, with a status on each one. An event you expect with near-zero volume is a tracking bug, and this is where you see it before it quietly ruins a report.
- Every event ranked by real volume, with active, idle or stale status
- Drill into an event to see the properties and values it carries
- A stale event with no volume is a bug, surfaced rather than buried

Roles are what make the chat accurate
Assigning a role to an event, product view, add to cart, checkout, signup, activation, conversion, is not admin. It is what lets you ask for “my acquisition” and have the right events picked up. Without roles the chat is guessing at your naming; with them it understands your business.
- A shared vocabulary across every report and the chat
- Ask a vague question and get the right events used
- Change a role once and every downstream report follows

Build links to a convention, before the campaign runs
Most attribution problems are tagging problems. The builder writes links to your own convention, in bulk, and tells you what each one will resolve to. A medium the classifier does not recognise is a tagging gap, not traffic without a source, and it is far cheaper to catch here than in a quarterly review.
- Build single links or in bulk, to a convention you define
- See the channel each link will resolve to before it ships
- Backtest existing links and reattribute what was mistagged

Most of this is done before you arrive
The configurator reads the events that land, infers what kind of business you run, assigns a role to each event and builds your first metrics, funnel and dashboard from that. What is left is review, not setup. That is the difference between this and a tool where a clean schema is a project you never get to.
